All Salt Spray Testing Results shown are done in accordance with ASTM-B-117 and show the hours to white corrosion and red corrosion required by each specification. The results are divided between finishes with trivalent chromates and hexavalent chromates. Companies throughout the world are replacing hexavalent chromates with trivalent chromates due to the carcinogen nature of hexavalent (Chrome VI) chromates.
